About Author Ron Snider

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Multi-talented Ron Snider, born November 19, 1955, in the city of Flint, Michigan, is an American author, poet, audiobook author and producer, narrator, Internet entrepreneur, master craftsman, music producer, songwriter, musician, master craftsman, and he is a Ordained Minister.

Ron and his wife, Senah, who he describes as his best and trusted friend, have two children and three grandchildren.

Ron and his wife make their home in the beautiful mountains of Marion, Virginia, where he applies his trade as a master craftsman. When not creating items in his wood shop, Ron is busy at night writing about worlds with unique characters that will keep the reader spellbound with a high adventure that can only be found in the imagination of an epic fantasy writer.

When asked how he became interested in being a writer, Ron replied that when he was growing up in Michigan, the winters were often much too cold to be outside. His grandfather, being an avid reader, had many hardback books, so not being able to go out in the cold, he would read books by Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Robert Louis Stevenson, and many stories written by Mark twain. These great authors in the days of his youth first sparked an interest in being a writer. However, it was not until his teen years that he discovered high fantasy style fiction by the authors J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and C. S. Lewis books, The Chronicles of Narnia, that captivated Ron to become a writer.

Ron has written three epic fantasy books for the series The Wizards of Covington. Since then, the books have become audiobooks that are sold worldwide. Ron is busy writing a new series titled The Knights of Shandalar.
